Thank you so much for this video, I can definitely tell that you put a lot of work in it!
It’s amazing that I can learn more about sound designing for free.
If all possible, I would love to see video/s covering how to create these super/hyper-saw sounds.
My question is, what would be the best synthesizer for trance/dance music that is compatible with Apple’s Logic Studio?
Thanks so much, I’m looking forward to see more content on sound designing!!

Zebra2 obviously
Zebra2 can make some very nice supersaw type sounds as well, and its available on both PC and Mac

Nice Work, Scott! My question is, could you explain in more details about types of filters, their application and filter envelopes? Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, I’ll be covering filters and filter envelopes during this video series and Adam has created a really nice sound that demonstrates this concept. Stay tuned!

Great video ! Also are you guys strictly doing these videos for zebra2 ? Because i would love to see some videos like this that deal directly with access virus synths, being that they are a very known in the dance music world i think a lot of people would appreciate it ! Myself included !.

Thanks Aaron! There may be an opportunity in the future to do other synths, but in this series we’re focusing on Zebra2.

After watching all the videos available i really hope i am able to get into the course, as you were resetting the patches i noticed 2 of my all time favorite sounds from Ram and Mat Zo and i hope to be allowed to view and learn those techniques.
Overall spectacular course, very professional, informative and engaging. Everything was explained from the ground up and although i knew much of the intro things watching and learning the fundamentals was a great idea and was not boring at all.
This is a course to take if you are truly wanting to produce high quality trance music. Of the videos offered i learned much about Zebra, synthesis, and waveforms, especially the part about detuning which i have regularly used in my synths but was not aware of its actual effects on a visible spectrum.
The one question i would ask is tension. My tracks so far are getting better each project i start and each lesson i learn, but the ebb and flow of professional tracks from the first build into the break and the epic build into the beat seem to be the hardest concepts. So the question is how to you construct the tension factor in a professional track?
(I know this goes different for every track but of all the ones ive tried house, trance, techno, etc, i cannot seem to get the feeling of tension and almost exploding into my builds)
Thanks again for the preview and i hope i can view the rest of the course and start producing my dream of professional trance.
My best regards,
Zach Sinkus aka Zeuus aka Sky Gate
